Level 1: Introduction to Weaving
Learn how to weave at the Peoria Art Guild. You will learn about weaving, looms and patterns as you try out weaving on a 4-shaft loom. You will be amazed at the beautiful patterns that can be achieved on a loom. This is the introductory class for weaving. All materials and equipment will be provided. You only need to bring your interest and enthusiasm! (4 sessions)
Level 2: Setting up the Warp on a Loom
Now that you have tried out weaving you can plan your own small project. With guidance from the instructor you will set up the loom and weave. All materials and equipment will be provided. (This class is designed for those with some limited weaving experience or who have completed Level 1)
Level 3: Introduction to Twill
Twill weave has many possibilities. Plan a project and choose a twill pattern to weave. You can weave a table runner, scarf, or another project of your choice. All equipment will be provided. Students can use yarn from the classroom or provide their own for a special project. (This class is designed for those with warping experience or who have completed Level 2)
Cost: $100 for four sessions (Choose level 1, 2, or 3)
