Shibori Tie-Dye Workshop

Learn about the Ancient Japanese art of Shibori; a form of resist-dyeing that uses a variety of techniques to create patterns and variations in the color. Students will follow along at home with an Instructor via Zoom to design and create a colorful and unique tie-dyed scarf using Shibori techniques. Upon class registration, kits containing a 15 by 60 inch cotton scarf, a packet of dye, and wood blocks will be mailed to the address provided.
This workshop will take place Live online via Zoom with a kit mailed to your home.

Registration for this class ends December 30 to allow time to order supplies and ship kits.
Materials Needed for at home: A sink or plastic tub for dyeing, access to both warm and cool water, iodized salt (regular table salt), Rubber gloves, a paint stick or anything for stirring, empty 2 liter bottle, hand sewing needle, thread of any color, rubber bands or twine.

We are committed to the health and safety of students, instructors and patrons, Our organization will be following recommended guidelines for Phase 4 of reopening: Anyone exhibiting symptoms will not be permitted in the building. Class sizes will be limited and workstations set up to allow 6 ft social distance between students and instructors. Masks are required for everyone. Each classroom will contain hand sanitizer and sanitizing stations.
All classes are subject to cancellation due to low enrollment. Students will be notified of class cancellation by 2 pm the day before class. Students can either retain a credit toward a future class or receive a full refund in 3-5 business days.
