Imaginary Comfort- Traci O’Dwyer

Artist Statement:

    Traci O’Dwyer’s work is rooted in the duality of hard and soft. She combines materials of home and craft with those seen as more solid or traditionally sculptural, connecting both to concepts of life.

     In this exhibition, the pieces are aimed at the pursuit of comfort, or rather the perception thereof. What is comforting on the surface, might be rooted in pain. What is harsh at first glance, might hold the greatest comfort.
