Sensory Landscapes" combines the work of painter Sarah Nesbit, a Peoria native currently living in Chicago, and New York video artist Lyn Wellhausen. Nesbit's fluid and atmospheric abstractions seem to merge landscape, psyche and body while similarly Wellhausen's video works explore bodily presence through a murky and fluid lens which invites perceptual contemplation and nostalgic reckoning. Exhibited together, their works, both psychologically charged and at times nearly hallucinatory, elucidate landscapes of both body and senses.
